In the imaginary world of movie land, the ticket prices are literally as real as the people. And guess what, ticket prices have rights just as people. Dark clouds loom as the wind picks up with subtle determination. Tension tainted the smell of the fresh air as a single drop fell on the faces of the moviegoers gathering outside. They want to get inside to see the long-awaited film, but they cannot.

‘Movie tickets’ have been feuding with movie executives and the theaters across the US that invite the public to view newly released films. Tensions are rising, and the opposing camps are forming. Thousands of people are showing up outside of theaters. Volatility is building. “Will the tickets show up to let us into the theater?” asked one anxious moviegoer who waited 12 months to see the epic battle that was about to unfold in her favorite film.

THE TENSION

Then, like a suspenseful twist, it happened. Folks standing outside thought that it was thunder at first. Dark clouds had already filled the skies above. It seemed to act as an omen – a harbinger of some dark event to come. But the rumbling grew louder and louder. In the distance, something that looked like smoke was rising from the ground. Then, suddenly, the ‘ticket prices’ emerged into view as their rapid approach became the evident culprit that was churning up the dust.

They arrived in an instant, and suddenly there was a face-off in the street between the three parties – the movie executives and theater owners, moviegoers, and the ‘ticket prices.’  Out of the three, the movie executives and theater owners were in hot water, and it wasn’t pretty. The tickets had arrived, and they were pissed off because their price was not set, and there was a rumor going around that Joey, the movie executive, wanted to slap the ‘ticket prices’ with an increase. The ‘prices’ had already met and were furious with the threat of being slapped. One ‘ticket price,’ held up a placard saying, leave our prices alone. Then it became a chant that the moviegoers joined in.

Now, if you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend who is a ‘ticket price,’ as soon as you touch them, they become like elastic and stretch. Without warning, Joey, the movie executive, reaches over and touches the ‘ticket prices,’ and causes an increase. While the moviegoers simultaneously gasped at the increase, violence came swiftly as one of the ‘ticket prices’ responded and used his price elastic nature to lunge rapidly towards the executives.

THE SLAP

Joey got slapped so hard that the blow to the face was heard down the street, around the corner, and immediately went viral as a video and meme on social media. Teeth went missing! Pandemonium began to spread. Just when the shock of the ‘ticket price’s response triggered thoughts of running away from the theater to safety, fearing an escalation of the violence, moviegoers decided to urge everyone to be calm, and the ticket prices began to drop back to their sweet spot again.
